NYC Dance Places Makes Dance Rehearsal Spaces Searchable by Flooring Type
October 3, 2005
(New York, N.Y.) — NYC Dance Places' new Flooring Filter allows dancers and choreographers to narrow their
online search for rehearsal and performance spaces in New York City by the type of flooring available.
With this new enhancement, hundreds of rehearsal spaces in the NYC Dance Places database are now searchable not only by
rental rate, size and location, but also by the type of flooring at the space.
How does it work? Let's say that the size and rental rate preferences a dancer enters on NYC Dance Places produce
a very long list of "matching" rehearsal spaces. NYC Dance Places' new Flooring Filter allows the user to then narrow
the search results by one or more floor types, including "sprung wood floor," "tap allowed" and "marley available."
This feature saves the user valuable time and helps them find the space that best fits their needs.
This website enhancement is made possible with funding provided by the Mertz Gilmore Foundation.
As always, the NYC Dance Places website provides other details about New York City spaces, such as included amenities and
closest public transportation. Contact information is also listed, so that dancers may arrange a site visit or
check availability. All aspects of the website are free of charge.
NYC Dance Places benefits dancersboth soloists and companiesby helping them pursue their craft and enabling dance to reach
more segments of the community. Please help us inform dancers about this free comprehensive resource by linking to
our free website and publicizing www.nycdancespaces.org to your audience.
