Nonprofit Exploring the Metropolis Renamed
NYC Performing Arts Spaces
New Name Better Reflects Organization's Mission

(New York, N.Y.) — NYC Performing Arts Spaces is the new name of nonprofit organization Exploring the
Metropolis, Inc. The new name more accurately reflects the organization's focus on filling the New York City space
needs of performers in dance, music and theatre. Its redesigned website is available at
www.nycPASpaces.org.
The organization's two existing websites have similarly changed to NYC Music Spaces (www.nycMusicSpaces.org)
and NYC Dance Spaces (www.nycDanceSpaces.org). As always, its programs and services are free of charge to both
performing artists seeking rehearsal and performance spaces and facilities who list spaces.
NYC Performing Arts Spaces is the only nonprofit organization that focuses solely on resolving
performing artists' needs for suitable rehearsal and performance space in New York City.
Its third website, NYC Theatre Spaces, serving the space needs of the theatre and literary communities, will
debut in 2006.

NYC DANCE SPACES: Where Dancers Find Their Space
NYC Performing Arts Spaces, the sponsor of
the NYC Dance Spaces Program, is the only nonprofit organization
that has as its sole focus resolving the workspace needs of
performing artists. The organization is committed to identifying and
helping to create spaces for the performing arts through both web
and non-web services. More information about these resources is
